Disney Plus Day

SoS contributes to several new releases

As part of their Disney+ Day celebration, Disney is premiering new films and shows that include our work. SoS provided music transcription and created sheet music for foreign dubbing for several new releases.

“Pinocchio”, starring Tom Hanks , is a live-action remake of the classic 1940 animated film.

“Cars on the Road” is a new streaming series from Pixar’s much-loved “Cars” franchise which includes several new songs.

The new Simpsons short “Welcome to the Club” pairs Lisa Simpson in a musical number with several classic Disney female villains.

SoS is proud of over fifteen years helping Disney Character Voices International share the Disney magic worldwide.

Barlow & Bear perform at the 3rd Annual SCL Awards

The 3rd Annual SCL Awards

Yesterday was the Society of Composers & Lyricists’ 3rd Annual SCL Awards. SoS provided music preparation and contracted the all-star lineup of Hollywood musicians. This year’s ceremony featured performances by Aloe Blacc, Barlow & Bear, Judith Hill, Tom Scott, and world-champion accordionist Cory Pesaturo.

Jason Poss and SoS have been a part of every SCL Awards since their inaugural ceremony three years ago providing music preparation, managing the hiring of musicians, and consulting on union contracts and procedures.

Hawkeye releases today

...with Avengers on Broadway?

Hawkeye releases today on Disney+. Surprisingly, there was vocal music in the series that needed transcription and dubbing. Broadway and film music legend Marc Shaiman composed a musical number for “Rogers: The Musical” that is featured in the show. Who better to parody Broadway and the Avengers than Shaiman? Jason Poss admits to laughing out loud while working on this satirical show tune.
